Dear Parents and Carers,
We are quickly approaching the busy, yet exciting time of the year with many major events just around the corner. Please stay tuned for further information to be communicated in regards to Grade Six awards and graduation events, school concert and 2024 uniform changes.

Thank you for your support and patience as we finalise key arrangements for our major events and activities.
Sincerely,

SRC Pyjama Dress Up Day
THURSDAY 16th NOVEMBER 2023
The SRC would like to announce that there will be a whole school pyjama dress-up day on Thursday, November 16th! Yes, that's right....students from Kinder to Grade 6 will all have the opportunity to relax in their pyjamas for the day. The reason for this is to raise some money for the Paediatric Ward at the North West Regional Hospital.
So....wear your favourite pyjamas and bring along a gold coin!
Grade 2 Cambodia Appeal
Grade 2 classes are raising money for the people of Cambodia. Each class has a box for gold coin donations to be kept. The money raised will go towards providing school supplies, food and basic clothing.
Kinder Red Cuteness
Kinder Red started their week with a visit from Lia’s baby chicks. Thank you Mr Stellmach for bringing 5 adorable chicks in for us to hold.
Grade 1 Liturgy
Both Grade 1 classes combined for our Term 4 Liturgy. We discussed the Parable of the Mustard Seed. The message is about how something super small can make a big difference! We discussed how this is relevant in the children’s lives. They took home some mustard seeds to watch grow. It was a lovely morning.
All Schools Basketball Report
Over the weekend, 40 Stella Maris Primary School students participated in the North-West School Basketball Tournament which was held in both the Devonport and Ulvertsone stadiums. The basketball community, family and friends witnessed many memorable moments from our students. It was awesome to see our teams supporting the other Stella teams from the sidelines. Our sportsmanship, energy and school spirit were inspirational!!
Many positive stories have been shared from the weekend’s tournament as all our teams demonstrated our school values!! The students had the opportunity to work as a team and to showcase and improve their skills. They played in a fun and competitive environment with a few, very close, nail biting games!!
Results:
Grade 5/6 boys - 1st
Grade 5/6 girls - 3rd
Grade 3/4 boys - 4th
Grade 3/4 girls - 3rd
Thank you to all the coaches, referees, managers and parents who made this opportunity a reality. Also, thank you to Keiva Matheson for organising the student’s new warm up tops. They look amazing!
It was a fantastic weekend with a wonderful group of children representing our school. We are very proud of them all!!
