Gospel Reading - Luke 16:19-31

Jesus tells the parable of the reversal of fortunes between the rich man and the poor man, Lazarus.

Family Connection

Talk with your children about some of the things that they have that can be shared with others. Ask your children to describe a time when they had to share something that they had. Ask if this was easy or difficult and why. Talk about some of the ways in which your family shares your possessions. Read together Sunday's Gospel, Luke 16:19-31. Consider together some reasons why the rich man may not have shared his riches with the poor man, Lazarus. Identify some reasons why we might share our possessions with others. Make a commitment as a family to do something this week in which you will choose to share your possessions with someone in need.

TERM BREAK

We would like to wish all families a safe term break. Enjoy the time with your families to relax and take in some spring sunshine. We look forward to seeing you all in Term 4. A reminder that Term 4 is a nine week term, concluding for students on Thursday 15th December.

Just Like Jesus Awards

Congratulations to the students that received the "Just Like Jesus" award in our recent assembly. It means that they have been 'caught' treating others in an extra respectful manner.

Congratulations to all our class award recipients!

Footy Colours Day - Friday 23/09

Kindergarten - Dog Safety

This term in  Kinder Blue we have been learning about dog safety. We have explored how to identify if a dog is feeling angry, scared or happy by noticing changes in  its body language. We have also learned that before patting a new dog for the first time, there are 3 people we have to ask first: our grown-up, the dog's owner and then the dog itself. Mrs Gretton brought Eli to visit so we could practice what we have been learning. We were so excited to share our understanding about how we can keep ourselves safe around dogs.

Uniform Shop School Holidays

The uniform shop will be open on Friday the 14th of October from 10.00am to 1.00pm
